This Springtime carnival marks the end of winter, heralding the return of the sunshine and warmer days.This age-old tradition also invites people to dress up and mingle in the streets. At the end of the Carnival (on Shrove Tuesday or Mardis Gras), custom dictates that all the inhabitants of the village join the parade where the effigy of Monsieur Carnaval through the streets and burn him in public at nightfall, effectively closing the Carnival.Expect floats, showers of confetti, costumes, brass bands and masked balls...
